Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD)
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed RGN, RMN or RNLD Nurses to work in an exceptional care home based in the Bungay, Suffolk area. As a Nurse you will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers
This is a specialist care home with nursing providing short-term and full-time care and support, including nursing care
As a Nurse your key duties include:
• To take responsibility for the nursing provision within the establishment
• To provide a high standard of direct nursing to residents based on the assessment of care needs and in consultation with the residents, their relatives, other health professionals and the care team
• To ensure appropriate documentation is completed, reviewed and up to date including care plans, risk assessments and other associated and relevant documentation
• To carry out regular auditing of medication and to lead on taking action following these audits, working alongside the nominated medication lead
• Liaise with residents GP’s and other health care professionals involved in the residents care such as Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Community Nurses etc.
• Work within the NMC codes of conduct and Scope of Practice and within company policies and procedures
• Work closely with other members of the care team, ensuring that effective, high quality care is given to achieve agreed goals and aspirations
• To provide any additional support to the Manager or Deputy Manager as required
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Experience of working with older people including people living with dementia
• Experience in participating in quality and clinical governance programmes
• Ability to explain treatments and conditions to people who have communication difficulties
• Confidence in working in a pressurised setting and ability to prioritise and multitask
• People management experience
• Good working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks
