Deputy Home Manager
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Home Manager to work in an outstanding care home based in the Winchester, Hampshire area. You will be working for one of UKs leading health care providers
This care home offers specialist nursing and dementia care, respite care and end of life care so residents can stay in familiar surroundings, with a care team they know as needs change
As the Deputy Home Manager your key responsibilities include:
Responsible for all aspects of running the home in the absence of the Care Home Manager, accountable for the standard of care delivered within their home
Leading the clinical team on a shift by shift basis; directing support staff to ensure the delivery of quality care
Working closely with the Care & Nursing Team, relatives and other agencies to ensure person-centred care plans are in place that put the individual at the centre of all interactions, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained at all times
Carry out duties in accordance with NMC guidelines, leading the Care & Nursing Team on shift and providing clinical leadership, practice development, feedback and reflection to Registered Nurses and Care Assistants as well as new and developing members of staff
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Have a minimum of 1 years managerial experience of leading a care team in the care of older people, or related social care setting
Have evidence of continuing professional development
Have a working knowledge of the regulatory framework relating to Care Homes
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrate the ability to lead, support and motivate a dedicated care team
The ability to take responsibility for the safeguarding of older people
Commitment to the ongoing training and development of your team
The successful Deputy Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of £22.15 per hour and the annual salary is £41,464.80 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 36 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
