Lead Nurse

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Nurse to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Leeds, West Yorkshire area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading healthcare providers

The hospital is a locked rehabilitation recovery service for patients requiring an integrated treatment approach, focusing on active rehabilitation in order to progress into future community placements

**You must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin + Specialist qualification in DBT/CBT or NMP qualification is desirable**

As a Lead Nurse your key responsibilities include:
• Provide nursing expertise to the ward and be responsible for direct provisions of high quality nursing care
• Act as a role model to the wider nursing team and exemplify best practice at all times
• Providing specialist clinical knowledge and support to the nursing team and wider MDT along with, overseeing the clinical care needs of all service users
• Constructively reviewing and challenging nursing practice and reporting such actions to the wider team
• Work alongside nursing colleagues in conducting nursing assessments, care planning, evaluation, medication administration and review of nursing care and be proactive in ensuring that the patients receive the least restrictive interventions in line with the recovery model and company policy

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Trained practice assessor or supervisor
• 3 years minimum experience within a clinical setting
• Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines, requests and professional practices
• Evidence of post registration continuing professional development
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
• Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise

The successful Lead Nurse will receive an excellent salary up to £37,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Fixed Term Contract working Full Time hours. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
