Forensic Psychologist
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a committed Forensic Psychologist to work in an exceptional hospital within the Gainsborough, Lincolnshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This hospital is a low secure unit for men with mental illnesses and personality disorders. They provide a full treatment pathway for those requiring rehabilitation and they focus on patients learning new skills, embedding these in everyday life, and maintaining the skills that are necessary for community living
**To be considered for this position you must hold a post-graduate qualification in forensic psychology and Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Psychologist**
As the Forensic Psychologist your key responsibilities include:
Identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within the given field of therapy, in order to promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of clients; liaising with family and carers
Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate and relevant treatments, activities and interventions
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the client, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the clients therapy plan
Manage an assigned caseload within agreed timescales ensuring regular interaction and communication with clients, professional colleagues and clinical staff
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the form of case notes, case files, clinical reports, computerised information systems and other associated documentation presenting and sharing relevant information and knowledge concerning assigned clients with professional and clinical colleagues at regular MDT meetings
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
Strong focus on service development, service evaluation, providing psychological consultation, expert opinion, cascading psychological thinking, developing and delivering teaching, training and group work
Promote good relationships with patient, relatives, public, other care organisations and all members of the multidisciplinary care team
To ensure audit compliance (CQC)
To carry out clinical supervision to Assistant Psychologist
Promote good communication skills written and verbally
The successful Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £43,115 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
