Welcome to Plymouth Only

Plymouth is a large developing city on the estuary of the rivers Plym and Tamar. This modern and vibrant city is currently undergoing substantial redevelopment providing new modern shopping malls and new flats and houses. It has long standing naval traditions and the dockyards support Royal Naval vessels where you can always find a ship alongside.

Whatever the season, you will never be stuck for something new to do. You can explore the old Barbican, where the Pilgrim Fathers left for the New World in the Mayflower, with its cobbles streets and specialist shops. You can also enjoy a stroll on Plymouth Hoe and find spectacular views of Plymouth Sound and Drakes Island. You can also take to the water yourself and enjoy the many boat-trips, wind-surfing and water skiing activities on offer.

Plymouth is also a university town and has a lively student scene with a variety of nightclubs and bars catering for all tastes and pockets. Enjoy a West End preview at the renown Theatre Royal or a concert at the Plymouth Pavilions followed by a meal. Whether its international cuisine or more traditional fayre you require, you will find it all in Plymouth.
